Mission Accomplished

After slacking off the whole of Saturday,i decided to go move about.Since Midval would be an awfully bad choice due to crowd and the fact that i've been there earlier this week,it might have been best to go explore new places.

First thing that came into mind was that Summer Luggage Fair in Sogo.So i googled the location and headed for the area. One notice of caution, don't believe everything you see in the internet.According to the map i googled,Sogo was o.2km from the Bandaraya Lrt and i'm suppose to walk along some road. When i walked out of the stop, the mall was actually connected to the station. No need to walk along some road.

When i entered, immediately saw some sales goin on...oops nope..it's just Padini sales with the big 70% off.So people who wants to grab some stuff go quick,i think till 20th May.Ventured the mall till i found a sign that directed me to the 5Floor.When i reached i scanned around.Tak ada orang pun?I asked the cashier where was the fair. She pointed to an area in front of me.Needless to say super disappointment. There weren't many luggages to choose from.

Found another luggage corner...and i feel in love with this Elle Messenger Bag.I so want this.

But instead i got a Red Sisley bag which i love even more...Can die of happiness now.

However what really made my day was a view of the artificial waterfall at the food court.Somehow it was really great to have a nice lunch looking at such greenery.Even if its fake.

What's so special?

3 entries in one day...I'm obviously bored..Haha..Anyway just wanna share kan.
Today got free waffle....boss marketing belanja.Isn't this just job getting more and more wonderful?

Anyway after getting hearing so much about the Imu Library.I tot i might check it out today

Behold...The New Entrance(Gosh where did MMS go?)
A closer look
The entry beyond the entry ...to the study areasThe place to read newspaper.I have no idea what that corner is for..maybe for beverages?Nice

The place is pretty roomy but the tables are now joined together making a long stretch and less privacy. It's good if 20 people wanna sit together -gather.
The other study area...separated by a huge empty space..dunno for what
Oh and there was this one room close to the place i sat.I call it the emo room...Cos you can go in ,stare out and take emo pic.Haha.Got different exit door some moreP.S=Quality of pic not very good cos i was trying to do it very quick. The spacious library makes it very obvious that i'm a noob to the library dunno where i'm going to while trying to take pics.

Up in Smokes

Yesterday,i felt like i was in a totally cliche damsel in distress drama situation.

Well the story all started when Ah Yen had decided to stay for another night.Since she was around ,definitly had to go lepak lar rite? But it wasn't her fault,it was my itch that had to be scratched, to be blunt.I suggested we go to Luna Bar for dinner since she was already in town.So i happily drove downtown only to realise that the air conditioning in my dad's car was a little unorthodox. It was blowing hot air as i was moving sluggishly thru the jam after the SMART tunnel. But i tot it was just acting up cos it happened the night before and it was okie when i steeped on the gas.By the time i made it to the entrance of Pavilion to get Hui Yen and Flora,it was pretty warm till the windscreen was fogged up.Even with my doubts, still calmly i drove towards our destination.Come the traffic light near Nouvo, i noticed snake like smoke coming out from the bonet.Panic gila..When the light turned green immediately i bypassed the turning to Luna Bar and stopped at the nearest possible area.Which was apparently Shangri-La but looking ahead there was Caltex. It was just a meter or more to enter. Why not just try inching there kan?
Even that mere meter had cause now clouds of smoke to be emitted.I really thought the car was goin to burn...Mind was blank..just praying everything will go away.

Thank goodness i was with friends.Ah Yen managed to persuade the cashier who initially didn't wanna help to come out to see what was wrong. After many cans of water being poured onto the radiator, finally it stopped spurting hot water and we could open to determine what was wrong.I had wish that the whole thing was caused by ignorance of not filling up the water rather then a fan problem but my worst fears always had to come at the wrong time. For goodness sake i was in the middle of town.Called dad...couldn't tell if he was mad..maybe for like one second then he asked me to slowly drive back or if i have to just lock the car and leave it till the next day.But he came up with a better 3rd solution.Call Kurnia Assistance. That sounded best.

Thank you Caltex guy.

Conversation with Mr Operator wasn't the most pleasant, maybe cos i wasn't in a good mood.He kept telling me the car wasn't insured under the name i gave.Or more correctly 'Tak ada nama ini'.he repeated that quite a few times till i figured who it was insured under then only he decided to help me.
However Mr Tow guy was really nice and efficient,he arrived pretty quick and was very polite.
Poor little car being towed.Made me damn sad it had to happen to me.

Initially we 3 girls thought it would be quite cool to ride in the car towed by the tow truck but Mr Tow guy said "Tak boleh, polis tangkap"Oops..so we squeezed in the truck all the way back to pj before my aunt had to send me back.
I really feel like a dumb person...i dunno why i hadn't notice the temperature climbing.Never had i imagine i would be stuck in that 'car break down and get towed' situation while passersby watched.Ishk..
Fortunately i always have family and friend to support when i'm in hot soup.Damn sayang them. Thanks again Hui Yen and Flora for being such good company.

Fong Lye Restaurtant @ Gardens

Went to try this taiwanese reastaurant in Garden's on Tuesday.Karen,Hui Yen,Shian Yi and I was just settling for any food that won't flair up Karen's gastritis after canceling the Flying Chillies off our list but i guess we got a little bit more then expected.

The glam chopstick made the first appearanceThen came along this amusing sightAh Yen's spare part dish(consist mostly of pig intestine)Ah Yi's fresh tomato with egg dish.My steamed fishy...Yummy..Plus plus my strawberry dessert. It was very strawberrish. They didn't skimp on this oneNeedless to say the food was best gila. All of it came with appetizers in crescent plates and a lil bow of bitter gourd soup ( i know most will say eww here,i know i did but don't judge a book by it's cover, really super nice) .It's not just merely about the taste or the presentation, the food managed to give that home cooked food feel with the near traditional preparation. The moment the food hit the palate,it just gave the me the homesick feeling.I wanna go home...

Plus point since the workers wore purple t-shirts.Purple...i like. And price was reasonable too.Definitely hafta go back.Anyone wanna come?

Outing at KLCC?

I remembered to wake up on time this morning! That was the one thing i really wanted to get right today after my disappointing no show for the last marketing event i was assigned to.

Today's event sounds pretty awsome....we were invited to exhibit in the Asia Pacific Congress of Nephrology. And we were the only university which was invited to do so.This part so far still sounds impressive but i found out the real reason was, the president of the nephrology council is the person who is in charge of health sciences in IMU.And the delegates at the congress is way off our target group who are suppose to be students. They are all well establish doctors and nurses from around the region. So i guess we were there just for exposure of the IMU brand name.

Nevertheless manage to take a few photos.Hehe.

Pretty KLCC standing tall
Just felt like running in the parkThe long walkway to the wash room.Damn not convenient

A few of the exhibitors booth. And after lunch , there was free starbucks Manage to get some souveniors.12th APCN in Korea 2010.Anyone going?
Was also eyeing a very pretty woven bag with some batik details the whole day but was damn sad to find out that it's given to the delegates during registration.Darn.

Since my colleague and i were so free,we ended up observing the caterers get ready for tea time to pass the day.And man are they discipline,it's like

2.00pm Change table cloth
2.30pm Plates are out
3.00pm The racks are arrange
3.15pm Fancifully displaying the servettes
3.30pm FOOD is out...Hungry ade
3.40pm Caterers still looking at the watch for 3.45 pm to open.
3.45pm Finally they remove the cling wrap.Makan TIME>>>

After makan?Go back ade lar.

My shopaholic Ways

The weekend as i remember it was wholly shopping.Sunday was particularly so.Spent the early morning sending off my dad at the airport including the mix up of flight timing and having to book new ones. After that,i manage to grab McD breakfast for once.

Did the most adventurous thing ever later,i decided to drive to a destination down town with no prior guidance, advise or experience in navigating the roads.Only the road sign were there for some directions at times when it didn't manage to confuse me.All this in the name of Zara warehouse sale.Hehe.Pretty proud of my own achievement of being able to find the place,Corus Hotel.Thank goodness it was located nearby popular places like KLCC and Avenue K,can't begin to imagine where i would end up if it wasn't.

I thought navigating the road without the directions were scary but the parking bays in Avenue K was far worse. There in only one way in but it doesn't exit at any level. It keep saying no entry until i finally went down 4 floors and there weren't any cars around.Panic.I just decided to drive across the barrier and move back into car populated areas.Spent a full 4hours at the sales and manage to walk away a happy person. But that was not the end,on the way back,i decided to take a detour to Bangsar Village to take a look at the FJ Benjamin Sales. When i go there, kinda decided it wasn't worth the effort because there was a massive jam from 2 blocks away.Doubt i was going to be lucky enough to get a car park in the next hour or so with that crowd.Unsatisfied and the day still young,1 Utama was where i went in search of a new bargain .Somehow i ended up in a Zara shop again and bought some more stuff.I'm starting to be afraid of the person i'm becoming.

I think i've finally metamorph into a shopaholic monster.

There Goes Another

It's saturday but no badminton...Why Why?Damn sad. This reminds me of someone.

With the months passing by unnoticed, the time came for another friend to leave for clinical phase overseas. This time it was Yinn Khurn , a great comrade in the badminton court. It just seemed like yesterday when I had mistaken his name for Lincoln during the recruitment for IMUCUP.As the weeks, months and years of training in the courts get drilled into becoming my second nature, i'm pretty sure Yinn Khurn's constant nagging for me to run will be well embedded for years to come.Despite having spent time at the farewell party and learning to play PLayStation 3 for the first time,I shall still miss my Saturday Badminton Friend.Reality is starting to set in as one by one my weekly routines/constants gets scratched off the list. It'll will soon be the time when i need to find new friends and new interests.

Since no badminton practice, what to do?I went to the Royal Sporting House Warehouse sale and got myself a new badminton and tennis racquet at a price that would give you a heart attack.Retail therapy is always the best.
