First Sight

As i was having my best slumber ever in the whole week, the fire alarm rang for the 4th time this month or so...i lost count.Freaking 3am and on automode,i got my keys and went down.As i open the last door to leave the building..there were white specs of stuff..It's SNOWING people!!!
Been hearing bout light snow every now and then from people but my first encounter was last nite.Great timing.

Here's a view from my room after firealarm cooled down.

Love the big owl shape one..My flatmate Nikki think it's totally amazing that i have never seen snow before (Not very hard considering Malaysia is like summer 365 days a year)When it starts snowing properly, we're so going to build a snowman.Wohoo..

The Day of The Practicals

Probably in my best moods ever in 2 months or the whole of respiratory system.Just wish i could go out for some sports.SCEE is over.Nevermind if there is Mcq's coming up...i'm just high on residual adrenaline.

Started off first on physical examination. Thanks to my practice session with PP.I didn't miss anything..wohooo..Pass Hurdle No 1.Then when my tutor asked about D/D with findings of bilateral crackles.I accidentally said my initial diagnosis as the second one..how could anyone say pneumonia then fibrosis? But saved it with a come back of fibrosis and heart failure.Pass Hurdle No 2.My tutor's expression changed from the face of a confused patient to an elated Arsenal fan with a 3-0 win.The only reason i know football scores is because my tutor is an avid fan k.I still haven't found anything exciting about footie.Next, my tutor questioned my technique on checking for finget clubbing.Yes ,i check for curvature and then the fluctuation as well. And no,there is no finger clubbing. There was a pause and a stare.Got me worried there but when i asked him in the end if there was,he said no.So what was the pause and stare about?Pass Hurdle No 3.The shocker came when my tutor told me he was going to be harder on me compared to my other groupmates. He asked me a series of harder questions till i couldn't answer one of them.Huhu.I give up,i'm not the perfect student,i never meant to give the impression of the perfect student but i take it as a compliment that he thinks highly of me.I still got the remark that i did good.Hopefully the good is not a C.

History taking was a milder affair.Or so i tot.Since i got over the nerves and all,I just went straight for the normal questions and was pretty happy about it until i reach social history.I knew the patient's husband had passed away but when i asked who else do u live with..it lead to some crying about her deceased mum as well.OMG....I haven't dealt with a crying patient before. Moreover in the middle of my exam,i just felt so guilty for making her cry and just let her take her time.Did however manage to finish in time but i hope she is doing well considering the fact that there were 4 others going in after me.

Dinner Diary Part 2

With more experimenting comes more delicious dishes.Have to admit...cooking styles has been leaning towards a fusion as we fight for time.

We found some veges that tasted like choi sam from home.Guess what's the name?Leafy veges.Lol.

This is what it comes to when u're rushing for a portfolio
Our version of the Shepards Pie
The un Tom Yammish Tom Yam
My latest creation Brocolli and Cheese
Pasta and parsnips porkball

Kincaid's as I see It

That's a little poster someone decided to decorate with the all IMU transfer student's name. Can u spot me??I have a moustache!!!

It's been a while since i've taken time off to think and reflect.Over the weeks it's all been just going through the motions. To the hospital, clerking patients, coming home to cook and studying (or at least trying to).Everything seems to become a chore and enjoyment would be the last thing I would call it.Nevertheless there are times when the same people you stick around can bring a smile to your face.Honestly coming to think about it,it's not a bad thing to stay in flats where everyone else are first years, you really get your daily dose of entertainment.

Halloween passed...no i didn't dress up but others did try to ,

Buzzlight Year and Woody

Theo's very weak impersonation of a duck in disguiseLouise with the gyneacomastia suit. And in between we got Paddy to show us the proper way to drink beer....use a funnel people.Bart hanging out on the Didjeridu...looks horrified if u ask me.
Myself and Han Ying decided to do some else instead..
Certified for Ghost Tour. However much to our disappointment,it wasn't scary or ghostly at all.Stories were good though,so was the walking through dark narrow alleys. Our motivation was the warm and steaming Chocolate Soup. The famous brownie sandwichFinally tried the Mint Chocolate. The very essence and indulgence of life.Thank goodness i still get the feel good factor after sports despite everything. And big announcement,i've decided to back to volleyball training and succumb to paying club fees. What the heck,it's only 15pounds per year.Way better then having to spend 3 pounds on badminton per week.I still gain in the long term no?
