Sydney Trip-City Day

Day 3

Destination No 1: Sydney Aquarium.

Equipped with a trusty map,we made out way to Town Hall Station before the fun started. The challenge was to find our way on foot to Darling Harbour.Seems easy enough on the map but the streets look all the same with the building surrounding us like giants.Thank heavens for landmarks like St James Cathedral and definitely the famed Queen Victoria Building.

Finally, we stumbled upon the signboard for Darling Harbour.Fishes here I come. The platypus in hiding

I've never been one to be overly fond of fishes unless if it's for eating. But seals?I could spend a whole day watching.

Female

Male
Cute little creatures which unexpectedly loves to show off for the visitors at the whip of a camera. The female seals weigh around the size of an average female person but the male can weigh up to 300kg.Imagine if that thing sat on you...ouch.

Sharks and Rays

And yes sharks come from these spiral things

Penguins..this particular one is a performer i tell you

Funny fish which swims vertically

Octopus

Sotong!!

Spikey spikey thing ( Sea urchin)

Destination No 2: St Mary's Cathedral

While waiting for Daniel and Diana to do lunch,we decided to take a walk across town to Hyde Park.A really long walk,my suggestion, take a train to St James Place even though it might take up the same amount of time.A World Youth Day tent selling souvenirs was already set up by then. What else to do?Shopping.Hehe.

The cathedral was as beautiful as expected with the old architecture and inside, stained glass, each one telling a diff story.

More landmarks

Sydney Hospital
Destination No 3 : Botanical Gardens

We had plans to explore the Gardens but it's just too big, somehow we're always there near sunset hours.I guess taking a short walk at one of it's themed Gardens is better then nothing at all.

Destination No 4 : Pancakes on The Rocks

Finally, we get to fill our tummies after all that walking.Had to take a visit to this place,i've had recommendations by so many people that i lost count.

The looks?Really attractive. The taste?I would only say that there is way too much flour going on the palate.Barely my cup of tea,i'll much prefer Paddington's House of Pancakes.Considering the sun has already set,the only thing left to do was hitting the stores in CBD.The most interesting find was in the Gucci store.Apparently there was an Gucci G logo icemaker on sale.It is out for 95AUD,seriously i wonder if any had been sold.Over RM300 for G ice cubes anyone? And for the real Aussie experience,we went to Woolsworth.

Spicy or Original?
